Hmmm, looks to me like November is a very busy time for most of us. It will be interesting to track this data over a longer time frame to see if this monthly trend continues, or was unique to this year. Personally I know that I am dealing with the standard time crunch as the semester ends and the holidays start. However, I imagine that postings and viewings will return to "normal" levels in January as we start reaching for our dreams once more.

Lhoti has been up since 1995 in one form or another. During that time December, January , and February are the busiest months. In Feb. this year we had one day with 2,200 visitors (not uniques) using the old stats package. It will indeed be interesting to see if we equal or pass that record. March 1st is our "physical" aniversery. Our last major rebuild of the site was launched Mar. 1st, 2003. I will be re-setting "hits" stats for all the links on Jan. 1 to get a better indication of how many click-thrus are really happening to all 1300+ companies each year. Just some background............. :)

I have been involved with several high volume web sites over the past 9 years. In most cases November is a slower month. Holidays cut into surfing. In some cases December is also slower (exception hopefully is e-commerce sites).
Then January starts to pick up right away with a steady growth month to month till a bit of a summer flattening of traffic. September and October pick up the growth again. many people are surprised at the steady growth in traffic that solid web sites get. It was common to find 15-20% growth per month when the Internet was starting up. Now we see at work a steady 5-8% growth per month.
