green fungus

My front porch faces north, so it never gets full sun. The wood turns green. I powerwash every year. Green stuff comes back following year. Any ideas what I can do?

Have you tried a simple solution of water and Borax yet? If so, talk with the head of a local garden nursery. There are various organic and chemical compounds available that will solve your problem without damaging the wood. These are generally inexpensive at a nursery but can be quite costly through the construction trades outlets.
