As anyone else seen or have one of these? I just seen one the other day. I thought it might be neat to have. Maybe use it for my kitchen remodel. They are at Sears.

Patrick, I didn't have any idea in the world what a 'compucarve' was so I googled it........not much out there about it so I still really don't know what it does. Is is some sort of automatic wood carver?

Wow, looks complicated. Bet you could make all kinds of cool stuff with that machine!! It's a bit expensive, but then again "the only difference between the men and the boys is the size of their feet and the price of their toys"!!

I never just buy something. If I have a project I can justify buying it I will. I do have some projects coming up a little later on!

I bet you could come up with some pretty awsome projects to justify this tool. Carved boxes alone would sell like hotcakes at any craft fair here in my area; probably pay for the machine in less than a year.

I do all my carving by hand and dremmel motto now. But to do a large project like jazzing up the doors in the kitchen it would be nice.

From the product description I can't tell what kind of software it uses....got any ideas? Sketchup? AutoCAD?

Looks like the woodworking equivalent of a CNC machine tool.

Impressive!

I dunno but I think you'll have several willing buyers when you're done with the kitchen ;) I'm thinking custom lineal casings per house.
