After taking very good care of our 6 year old handcrafted home in Tupper Lake,NY, we have moved into a one year rental, also handcrafted, which is need of $. While living in the home for a year, I find myself wanting to offer suggestions to the home owner about how to make her property more appealing to home buyers. She has been unable to sell the home and even if the market were stronger, her home needs serious restoration. We are advised the home is perhaps 10-12 years old, has been stained, in and out, with a very dark stain. (Depressing with a big D)

I will be busy with our new building project and will have little or no time to help her, but I wish I could offer her ideas without sounding pushy or authoritative. Suggestions? Comments?
