Just thought I'd throw a few pics up here as I'm fighting the CRUD today.

Here's a shot of some rotten railings that we just worked on, this is the before shot.

Contributing factor: no gutters, rain dripping off shingle roof onto bushes planted too close to rails. Complete failure in 5 years despite coat of Sikkens Cetol being brushed on every year, or is it because Sikkens brushed on every year? Any way, I think most every stain would have a problem here, but more pictures are coming up.

Here's the house before any work was started.

Nice maintanence has kept the house looking good, but there were many areas of rotten railings and a couple on an exposed corner, due to the weather approach angle.

They did not want to change the color much, so the after blasting pics won't look too different, but they are happy and that's what matters.
