1800's LOG HOUSE (VA) FOR SALE

Have an early 1800's Oak Log House for sale. Size 18 X 20. 1x1 1/2 - 2 story. Located in Historic Newbern, VA. Has diamond notches, no floor, cedar A-frame. Logs in good shape. House was inside a 100 year old farmhouse. Log house still under roof and has a large limestone chimney. (will sell either separate). You arrange to dismantle and move. We'll clean up. Also have 100 yr old. nice oak (may be some chestnut) boards from farmhouse. Can send photos if serious. Price negotible.

The previous owners moved in 14-15 yrs ago (occupied it until Jan 03)-ceilings were so low they removed floor and lowered floor below ground level & poured concrete. One of bottom logs is rough. Most others good. We removed inside & outside but have left roof over log house. Logs have been exposed about 1 mo. Farmhouse is down to lower level on farmhouse. There are 4 doors cut in lower level (original, additional front, side - opened into farmhouse and rear - opened into farmhouse). A-frame rafters are hand hewn cedar poles that are pegged together. House is located about 1 mi from a designated historic district that has museum and are restoring other buildings. Was very specific construction requirements for any log houses built on lots at the begining of 1800's. Land owners anxious to have removed, but I think they will work with us if we have a buyer.
