Cedar dovetail log cabin. Two story 17' x25'. Maybe 100 yrs. old, not sure. Located in northern Minnesota. Excellent condition, no rot. Can anyone give me an idea of what it would be worth?

Hi:

I'm interested in your old log cabin.
I am in the Walker, Mn area through July 5, and my wife and I are hoping to put a log cabin about that size on our property here.

Please email me at benndog@xwires.net if you are interested in showing us the building and talking about a price.

Thanks, -Benndog

I too am looking for what is fair value for some old log cabins. See my message about selling two old log cabins in Madison county Virginia. While I have spoken to some outfits that purchase and restore these type of structures I have not been successful in developing any real interest. Also consider they have some costs in removing and rebuilding the structure; therefore, the value "in the field" is less than in their yard waiting sale.

You may want to consider a donation to some group that qualifies you for a tax credit with Uncle Sam as a way to get some value out of the log cabin. Scott Lovelace
