Goal: Licensed School Counselor in Michigan looking to move to North Carolina or Eastern Tennessee and work as a log home sales representative. Who can help me find out how to reach my goal? I've already tried the online job search engines. No luck.
Thanks friends. Tim

Not trying to start any arguments here, but..........................shouldn't you have some sort of experience (even if it is only as a log home owner) before you start selling log homes to people? Maybe I'm missing something here. And please..................this is in NO way ment as a dig or a criticism, I'm really just curious.:)

Susan,
In my mind, it takes someone with knowledge about log homes to sell, or rather, represent them. On a school counselor's salary, I simply can't afford one. However, that doesn't stop one from dreaming about it.....all the time! If one of the major companies in TN or NC offered me a position, I would be stupid not to respond. They would get someone dedicated to clients, and I would be making enough commissions in order to purchase one of their models as well......and enjoy the warmer weather. I hate Michigan in winter!
I currently have, in my library, almost every log home hardcover and softcover ever published. I also have subscribed to almost all the log home magazines, especially Log Home Living, since the 1980s. I read them from cover to cover, just salivating.
So, there you have it.

Thanks for the reply post.

Thanks Tim! BTW, can't blame you for not liking those Michigan winters..............Brrrrr. :)

If you check out the "classifieds" in the back of the log home magazines, sometimes you will see ads for 'dealer opportunities'....might find something there. Best of luck to you.
