Due to a mistake by our client we have to stop work for a couple of weeks on a 2 story log house that is nearing completion. I don't want to lay anyone off. We have enough dry douglas fir logs that are not spoken for to build a smaller (800-1000 square feet or so) house/cabin/cottage.
The logs are less than 10% moisture, peeled and ready to build. These are high quality house logs. Grown in the dry Southern interior of British Columbia and average about 14" in diameter. With that low moisture almost all of the shrinking has finished.
Most of our log shells come in at about $30 Canadian per square foot, or a little over $20 U.S. This is for a full scribe building. You will be hard pressed to find a lower cost and I have never seen another builder that can meet our quality for the price.
How do we do it? Simple. Very low overhead, no expensive advertising and I work 8 hours a day building....every body produces.
This a great opportunity for quick delivery at a reasonable cost.
