Builder, Producer, GC, or Log Guy?

In the old days of this BB (two weeks ago)we had a Directory of Builders and Main Catagories (of which Handcrafted, Log Home Kits, Log Home Components were part). We still do but this year I will attempt to make some changes.

The Builders Directory was suppose to be for folks that ran around and put up shells, either handcrafted or milled kits and was organized by location. Main Catagories was for "producers" of log homes, at least in the afformentioned catagories, and was organized by "what they produced'. Well, its all mixed up now. Many of the producers are in the builders directory and a few builders have gone over the other way too. Does it make any difference? Should I combine the two or is there any value to finding a set-up crew?

A lot of these folks do both or change venues at request (and rightfully so, in these economic times!)

What should we have for guidlines, if any? Your advice, comments, thoughts?

Everyone wants exposure, which might be why people are on more than one list, and they might be there legitimately.

How about one list and then you have symbols for all the different designations and they can check those that apply to them. That way a user can go down one list and look for what they need.

There are also table functions where you could do that and be able to sort by criteria, which might be a good idea for that sort of list.
