Wanted: 1800's 2 story to relocate to Alabama

I am looking for an antique 2 story dovetailed hand hewn log home approx. 18x40 to move to my property in south Alabama. Prefer one that can be dismantled and shipped to me. If you have anything like this, email me! Will also be needing a smaller cabin to attach to the back out of similiar logs.

Cabinfever, I have just finished stacking a 2-story dogtrot cabin out of white pine logs. Large faces and over 17' tall to the top plate. House measures 18'x46', consisting of 2 - 18'x18' rooms downstairs and upstairs separated by a 10' foyer or dogtrot. You can see it on Ebay by searching item#3736429859. This is not a kit, I hand cut every corner in this house.

hey Larry, I already found your house on ebay--it's awesome! but we are wanting to see first if we can find the real thing. Want the 1800's logs with a past....and probably a few smaller cabins. Any ideas on where to find them? Willing to look up north of us

I only know of a couple of companies on the internet that specailize in finding
old cabins. You may try contacting them to see what they have . Good luck

I purchased a full 2 story log home about a year ago. Dismantled and labeled moved it to my property in hopes of rebuilding ,but I am a log home builder by profession and found I am never going to get the time to get this done. House measures 25x28 and is full 2 story. It is steeple notched. From what I have been able to gather the house was built late 1820's in Stark County OH. This house only needs 6 replacement logs of which I could probably get for you if interested. will wait to hear your reply Rick Hugh

cabinfever, I suppose you are looking for a dogtrot 'cause an 18x40 single pen would be somewhat rare. I'm working with a couple of folks in KY, one is two pens approx 20'x20' each with at 10' dogtrot, two story oak and the other I'm trying to get more info.

We could also put together two compatible hand hewn barns into a similar configuration. Lot's of options. We specialize in antique hand-hewn buildings so give a call or drop an email and we can talk.
